Remy By Katy Evans

I want to give this book 5 stars and part of me wants to give this book 3..but let me start this review by saying this I LOVE REMINGTON "REMY" TATE..  I don't want there to be any doubt that I love this man..I love his possessiveness, his scenting, his mind, everything about this fighter speaks to me..  Here is MY problem..it was just too much..had this book come out instead of Mine, or been a tad bit shorter or cut to the present more it would have been an instant 5 Star read for me..

I know I am risking life and limb by stating this opinion..ducks for cover as Mama Nic is throwing sharp objects..but I can't help feeling this way.  I thought Ms. Evans did a great job portraying the story through the eyes of Remy I just felt it was repetitive with his thoughts..  The glimpses into the present were my favorite parts..getting to know the inside track of Remy was also an eye opening experience.  I thought Ms. Evans did an amazing job at capturing the mind of not only a fighter but one that suffers the plight of bipolar disorder.  It was done in a way that made you not only feel his pain but suffer along with him.

Remy and Brooke have become each others light in the dark and love each other despite their flaws and even more because of them..a scene I loved was towards the end and it came in a song..Ms. Evans through this series had a way of perfectly selecting songs that matched the feelings of both Brooke and Remy and so I end this review with her wedding selection..perfectly played..

"Find me here, speak to me
I want to feel You, I need to hear You
You are the light that's leading me
To the place where I find peace again
You are the strength that keeps me walking
You are the hope that keeps me trusting
You are the light to my soul
You are my purpose, You're everything
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
You calm the storms, and You give me rest
You hold me in Your hands, You won't let me fall
You steal my heart, and You take my breath away
Would You take me in, take me deeper now
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?"

  1. I can feel your frustration as through Real and Mine I did find some repetition that slowed down the incredible, adrenalin-fueled pace of these novels, but I'm also really looking forward to reading Remy's version. He's an incredible, unique character.
