Slow & Steady by Kendall Ryan

You know the books you read that are just easy. Easy to read, to get lost in, to lose time and forget that you have shit to do? That is what this book was for me. I enjoy Kendall Ryan's writing and stories so it was a no-brainer to grab this and dive in. It delivered the entertainment I search for while getting lost in the pages of my kindle.

Greyson works...and sleeps...then he works some more. When he needs a little R&R he heads to the strip club. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect to see the wife of his fallen friend to be the body he was drooling over..guilt and the promise to protect takes over and he knows he has his work cut out for him to earn his way into their lives.

Finley never imagined that she would be shaking her ass to put food on the table, a roof over her babies head and making ends meet. She had a husband, a home, and was expecting when her whole world was changed. That moment in her eyes was caused by the man that is now starting at her...while she is buck ass naked.

Not being one to take hand-outs Finley fights every kind gesture that Grey makes to help her and her daughter. But guilt fuels Greyson and not much can deter him from being the one to help this family change their lives for the better.

Really enjoyed watching this hard-working military man fall hard for a woman and her adorable daughter...and becoming the family they never thought they would have again.

Hard Ball by CD Reiss

I love sports, not a fake or fabricated love to fit in with boys. A true love. I love being at a game, playing one or watching an event from the comfort of my home playing out on my t.v.. So I was instantly taken by Vivian. Her heart, loyalty and love for baseball drew me in quickly. You could feel her love for her students come alive within the first few pages. The other thing that I adore is a broken man...a man that is solid, assured and yet has things that are constantly working against him in the grand scheme of life, enter Dash Wallace. His only downfall...he is a Dodger. :)

Superstitions are as much a part of sports as the bat and ball. Anyone that has played has felt the pull in one way or another. You had a great game so your first thought can be something as simple as what did I have for breakfast, so you can repeat that. On a professional level this theory can be drastic, add in compulsive, ADD symptoms and it can have an overwhelming affect on a person. Living each season the same was what got Dash through...he had perfected what had to happen in every city he visited..until Vivian.

**Photo purchased at shutterstock**
Things were thrown out of line...and with that everything began to clear. Through the chaos was the future he had never thought was his to hold. Could he shift all that he has known to possibly throw off kilter the game he had perfected? The whirlwind that these two created was an enjoyable read.

Drifter by Bella Jewel

The second generation of MC's is proving to be quite entertaining...Mercedes is an innocent bystander in the land of leather cuts, womanizing men, and the violence that comes hand in hand with having a Harley instead of a Volvo. With this life comes very protective men, women and friends. You are never in anything alone, someone always has your back.

I enjoyed Mercy's character the most...she was small but packed a punch. She didn't let the bitches of the world control who or what she was. She didn't allow the "bullies" of the world have anything on her. Diesel was brooding, hot, talented, and did I mention hot? Their first meet was a real first for her, and ended as quickly as it started. Little did she know they would soon be traveling in the same circles.

She was humiliated time and time again, but never once did she lose site of who she was, even if she tried to pretend for just a minute. Friendship found, or demanded...and another group of protectors on her side. When Diesel finally pulls his head out of his ass and faces the truth that has been in front of him the whole time...with a deep sigh of contentment the story captured me. It wouldn't be a Bella Jewel MC story if there wasn't some mystery, intrigue and tense moments...once again showcasing the strength of how these families love one another. Enjoying these stories and happy that there are so many options for what can come next!

Beneath These Lies by Meghan March

This series is one of my favorites. I have loved all of the couples, each one growing in likability because you most likely have caught glimpses of them in past stories. This one is no different. It's best to go into this one not knowing...going from chapter to chapter, switching who is telling the story, all the time wondering who, why, where and what is going to happen?

The thing I can tell you that absolutely happens is you fall in deep with people that you may have perceived one way and can actually be another...vague enough? I hope so, because part of the beauty of this love story is the anonymity of not knowing, and not placing the pre-conceived ideals of what you thought was their truth.

Another thing I can tell you is I love me a bad-ass, demanding, jealous, fierce man...I mean love love. Ms. March always delivers and has with BTL with another Must Read book!

RoomHate by Penelope Ward

I devoured this book. I opened and closed it in one sitting. I felt like I had ran a marathon with all the emotions I went through in this story. The friendship, hate, love, new beginnings, endings, what ifs, and even more that I can't define took place in my heart. I wanted something so badly that I just continued reading...praying and hoping that these two best friends could find their way through the fog of "hate" back to the love they both had for each other from the first one-eyed glance.

This book embodies the saying "thin line between love and hate" if you have enough energy to hate you care enough to have or still do love.. No matter what the world threw at these two at the end of the day their friendship endured and they held their battered hearts in each others hands. Every time I would think "ok it's their time" fate would throw something out there to change the course.

Destined to be...the emotions..gah! Ms. Ward can pull your emotional strings like a marionette, she is amazingly skilled in evoking feelings you didn't even know existed within the pages of her books. She is a word ninja, and because of that if a book is penned by her I will always beg for opportunity to read it. Always. You will fall in love with Justin...wanna strangle him...swoon and feel like you are right in the middle of every awkward or amazing moment they share.

A Love So Tragic by Stevie J. Cole

First love, love betrayed, love lost but never ever replaced or forgotten. Everyone has that "one" whether it was your first, last or current, but what if that one wasn't yours anymore, but still owns your heart? This story follows how that can change your life, your path, and everything in between. A bond so strong not even years and miles can lessen it.

A break gone wrong, a choice was made and a love neither thought could ever end was shattered. A tragedy, a visit, memories flood and feelings remembered. The one you are supposed to lean on is nowhere in sight and the one you could never forget rises to occasion. Safe is not a word I would use to describe this book, real, gritty, getting your hands dirty and the overwhelming guilt of trying to live two lives at the same time...totally. The only part I didn't totally agree with was why Peyton stayed in her life for so long..I needed that part of her life to be a farce.

I really enjoyed this book, the angst, the terrible choices, but overall the writing...the words used to make you fall for characters that aren't making the best decisions in a moment but you still root for them. That all falls on the author spinning a tale so beautifully that no matter your thoughts on certain variables in life you are invested. So wound up in the story you find yourself cringing, laughing, sobbing or screaming at these people..that is what Ms. Cole can do. Beautiful story of the strength of first love...true love that can stand the test of time..

Best Kase Scenario by Layla Frost

I enjoyed book one in this series, but I was hook..line.. and sinker for book two. I loved Kase. His quietly knowing glances. His ability to love with out completely overwhelming Harlow. His caveman capabilities to drag her ass out of a situation if need be. How he allowed Harlow to feel loved, safe and cherished prior to even having an intimate relationship. But most of all his protection and manner in which he loves everything and everyone within his ohana.

Harlow is fighting to keep her family afloat, she has taken on the burdens of others without even asking if she should be. Her schedule is insane and slowly wearing her down. She finds herself in a job that isn't within the life plan she had drawn out for herself but at the end of the day it was all about the money.

Kase has noticed Harlow, but he waits...and waits...until he finds himself unable to wait any longer. At that point he quietly protects what will be his, just as soon as he can break down all her boxes. I laughed, I cared, I fell for both characters completely. Throw in a little mystery, friendships, family and some crazy dogs and you've got yourself a great book! Looking forward to more!

Faking It by J.D. Hollyfield

I love that feeling when you read a book and the female lead is so much like the author that you feel you are having a happy hour date with her as you read the story. Ms. Hollyfield writes like she lives and I love it. Her humor, loyalty, alcoholism all float off the pages as if she were hosting a read a long at a local wine tasting venue. Her characters exude charm, wit and a likability that connects you to the story right from the beginning.

Lexi is floating in a vodka haze through life..things are handed to her and she makes the best out of situations that are presented..like posing for a hot ass artist. Their meet was awesome and sets the scene for all the shenanigans that will eventually play out..Hunter has been burned in the past and built walls to protect himself, but one look at a similar lost soul in the bar of a hotel and he was done for. His muse lives.

Once these two stop faking their way through life, they are able to be real and set the path to living a life they both want and deserve. Love this author, love this story and absolutely adore every post she writes. I am a fan/stalker for life.

Distraction by Aurora Rose Reynolds

I can't say it enough times...if Ms. Reynolds writes it, Dawn reads it. Not only reads it, but devours it. Her writing is so effortless that you simply get lost within the pages, forgetting what is real and what is from her imagination. Just once I would love to crawl into her mind and watch the alpha genius that is Ms. Reynolds at work..flawless

Sven and Maggie were destined..even with a crazed look in pajamas he knew she was it. Watching the love story unfold, and getting to check in with past couples was awesome. The demanding, possessive male that we all love to read about is once again shown in this novel. No one writes them better. To sit and read a book in one sitting...yes that is what you get when you open any book from this author. As always I patiently (right?!) wait for more..

Dirty Pleasures by Meghan March

I need MORE. In this installment you get to know Creighton a little better. His possessiveness and alpha like tendencies are more apparent in this story. You fall a lot harder and you get left AGAIN with wanting MORE. It's like that old commercial where the lady is outside the store chanting open open open with grabby hands. That is me, but I am screaming and swiping at the kindle with MORE MORE MORE. Please let it swipe for more.

The hot factor..on point. The feels..they are present. The connection of characters? It is there, because of that you are so invested in wanting to know how it all turns out. Lives are intertwined now in a mess of loins, feelings and love? The only thing this book is lacking is ME. When do I get to meet the hot billionaire that wants to do nothing but pleasure me, cloth me and revere me? Shit..I guess that is why I read?

Ms. March is one of my auto buy authors and these little teasers serials are just another reason why. Keep them coming. I'm hooked.

Corrupt by Penelope Douglas

I am a huge fan of this author, this book was so different from her others. I loved the mystery, the intrigue of how this one would play out. How could these fucked up people get an ending that they deserved? What would that even look like? Parts of this book had me screaming at my kindle, NOOOOOOO and the parts where you saw the true worth of these characters was incredible.

All of this and a smoking hot three-some. WINNING. I enjoyed the mystery, the OMG no they didn't moments, and the end result was worth the entire crazy ride. Really enjoyed it!

Dirty Billionaire by Meghan March

I'm hooked...you start with Meghan March, add a billionaire that knows what he wants and gets it, a girl that is innocent but not a door mat. SOLD. I am now refreshing my kindle waiting for book two. These two had an instant connection, with a well placed plan that went viral, these two have more story to come.

Combustible chemistry, possessiveness that not even Creighton is used to experiencing, and a just beginning career in country music ensures that there is so much more to this story. I can't wait to see what these two are going to get into as they go. This style of serial is not the easiest to write, you must snag your reader quickly, while creating the connection to the characters in a small amount of words and space. I think Ms. March did a pretty good job with this. I'm looking forward to more connecting with these two in the upcoming books.

If you need me I will be waiting by my kindle...

Prove Me Right by Anna Brooks

Being a fan of this series, I was anxiously waiting for this story. Meara and Liam were background through-out the other books. They have loved each other forever, and have lived their love separately. Liam living the rock-star life, while Meara held down the home-front getting ready to takeover her parents pub. Throughout it all though they loved each other, stayed true to that love but distance has a way of rearing it's ugly head in other ways.

Liam has always known the dark side of living. His father doesn't think enough of his own life to live it better. So as a good son, he would often stop by to clean up, check on his health and well being, always knowing in the back of his mind this was no way to live. Knowing and experiencing are two different things. Loving his band, but wanting to start his life with Meara, to have simple things like a bed to sleep in every night are dreams he is wanting to live now.

Meara has always loved Liam. It was written on her soul before she even fully knew what love was. She stayed true, supportive and was his biggest fan...but the insecurities and fears were present, even with the trust she had in her other half...she feared the worst. Living under a spotlight has it's downfalls and Liam lived through a scary episode. Meara was there for him...but if the past was coming back could she be strong enough to see it again? Beautiful once in a lifetime story that I flew through and enjoyed thoroughly. Can't wait for the next story.

All That's Left To Hold Onto by Ella Fox

I knew nothing about this book when it appeared on my kindle, other than it was written by Ella Fox. SO I dove in. This book is a perfect escape. A lovable male lead, a strong female, a beautiful second chance at a life they never knew could exist. It's a good day when you sit to read a book and by the time you realize you have hit the end you are all smiles. Ms. Fox has a way of writing that grabs you and takes you on a journey that you are always glad you embarked on.

The love that this family has for each other is enough to challenge anyone's preconceived notions of what family means. While the love of a mother shines in two totally different ways, it shines bright none the less. The power of a soul growing inside you can make even the most fucked up person know that what's right needs to be done. Lives change in an instant and love grows with a touch. From evil, emerges love, hope, redemption, family and a chance for a good life for everyone involved. Ronan and Keely were always each other's light in the shit hole they called home, that was enough to forge a bond that years and distance could never sever. Really enjoyed it.
