Questions I ask..

Would this story be as powerful without the everlasting, licking love I have for Remy? Maybe not. But because I have this love deep in my loins I don't think I could dislike a story that has my Remy in it, in any way shape or form.

Did I think this story was as strong as the first? Not really, but that didn't keep from enjoying it all the same. Was Brooke my favorite heroine? No but let me tell you, she is far from my least favorite.

"He brushes my hair back and strokes my earlobe. "But if I'd known you existed, I'd have hunted you, I'd have caught you and I'd have taken you." Remy Check please..

I LOVE Remy, I love him and all his baggage. I love his headphones and the way he lets his feelings show through lyrics and sounds. I love that he is overly protective and loves ferociously. I adore how he shows his affections and the overtly sexual tones he takes to make sure Brooke knows she is his.

And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't wanna go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

The one thing I felt was a little overdone in this book was their love for each other. Every page seemed to be filled with their feelings for each other and at a certain point I just told Kindle..yeah I got it..Am I dissing the book? No, but the reason it didn't shoot to a 5 star read for me, was some of it felt overly done.

"We smile as we keep listening to this song, and when he squeezes my hand, I squeeze back, telling myself no matter what happens, I will never, ever, let go of this hand."

Brooke didn't annoy me. I felt like she was fighting, for her love, her family and the life she knew was her only option. She had fallen in love with Remy and in doing that took on darkness along with light. I didn't feel like she shied away from the responsibility of loving a man with so many demons. Were her choices always wise? No, but how many of us can say we don't make errors in judgement. She fought wildly with the cards she was handed.

"He is Remington Tate. He's a man who falls and gets up again and again. He pushes, plows, plunders, goes no. He's. Got. This. I remember who he is."

The surrounding players all working to keep Remy out of his darkness and stay in the moment. In the times where I wanted to reach into my Kindle and strangle the ever loving life out of Brooke's sister or other lame ass people that didn't want I wanted them to when I wanted them to do it. I just breathed deep and remembered my Lion licking, sweet piece of damaged ass named Remy and all was right in the world!
